Asmalı Mescit has always been a center of attraction for the food and beverage industry. The new venues that have opened here are also quite popular and successful. Han 1831, one of these eateries, opened on the terrace of the Food Hall in the restored Narmanlı Han. The restaurant gained many regulars in a short time with it’s historical peninsula view over the Beyoğlu silhouette, it’s tavern cuisine delicacies and music. Later in the evening, joyful Turkish songs from the 1980’s and 1990’s are played here.
The kitchen, led by Chef Tuğçe Mirza Canik, prepares flavors from our geography with original and different touches. Typically, Han 1831 restaurant’s menu comprises of small plates and appetizers to share. Appetizers prepared in accordance with the tavern cuisine, hot starters such as calamari and fried zucchini are very tasty and preffered in Han 1831. In addition to all these, The restaurant also features the fine cocktail culture that we usually encounter in contemporary Turkish cuisine.
