Serenita Pera (Permanently Closed)

Beyoğlu

Beyoğlu recently made a significant return to it’s old form lately. In the past, successful restaurants and entertainment venues, particularly those centered around Asmalı Mescit, Galata and Tom Tom Street; slowly regained their prior popularity. On the other hand, nowadays new venues are opening in this region. Serenita Pera, which we will talk about now; is the venue of Aylin Yazıcıoğlu, the chef of Michelin-starred Nicole Restaurant in İstanbul and Gülseren Onanç; opened in the Tom Tom Street area. Serenita Pera is a chef-led bistro with delicious and seasonal dishes.

It should be noticed right away that you are about to enter a very different and special atmosphere. Prepare yourself for a lovely evening of delectable cuisine in a historical setting. Serenita is housed in a historic structure and offers a chapel-like ambiance. (Which is really a chapel before restoration) The stone walls, high ceiling, floor details and dim lighting all around make the place very special and unique.

The menu of the place is prepared by two very successful female chefs. The presentation of the dishes at the fine dining level is as great as their tastes. They have an a la carte menu which will constantly change seasonally. Currently the menu includes starters, main courses, desserts and a cheese plate. Italian Düğün Soup and Jerusalem artichoke soup are interesting starters. There are three kinds of main dishes. Each one is exquisite! Fisherman’s style Minekop is populer. After the meal, there is Ulviş’s rice pudding; which should definitely be tasted.
